You can’t choose your circumstances, so learn to embrace them.
Yes I Can.
With those three words Carl Williams became Karl Kani. Asking himself, “Can I do it,” and answering, “Yes I can,” Karl changed his name and moved to LA with a handful of samples at the age of 21. Focusing on minority and contemporary culture in a time when the fashion industry ignored it, Karl Kani launched the first and most iconic streetwear fashion brand of all time. His authentic style got noticed, gaining fame in the 90s among rappers such as 2Pac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G, P. Diddy and Snoop Dogg. Today, the Karl Kani brand expands over 25 countries but continues to produce its garments in the US, staying true to the label with authentic design and craftsmanship.
