Inspired by that “Mamba mentality”, Gil Gutierrez lives by the motto, “Be relentless in everything you do. Try to beat yourself to get better every day.”
Passion turned profession, Gutierrez’ designs are getting noticed for their attention to detail and unique style. Custom painting Bumpboxx speakers, sneakers, t-shirts and more for the past 10 years, Gutierrez stays motivated by the love of the craft.
“I love doing it, love seeing people light up when they see the end product—I don’t know how else to describe it.” Designing for celebrities like athlete, Troy Polamalu, and rapper, $toopid Young, is a nice bonus too.
His latest creation: the E&J X Spice Adams Bumpboxx, available on the E&J Spiced giveaway now.
“The gold really pops out the designs around it, and the colorway really stands out. This is a fun one,” Gutierrez says of the E&J Bumpboxx.

Featuring the brainpower of author, speaker and assistant principal with a doctorate degree, Dr. Nigel Walker (aka J.Batiste), and poet, educator and doctoral degree candidate, Nick Griffin (aka Coach Griff), @HypoeticallySpeaking was created to inspire students to be motivated in their own image.
“We want to reflect the image of educated, culturally relevant change agents and be role models to our black male population. We want to show that you can have an education and still represent the culture.”
Fusing the sounds of southern hip-hop, spoken-word poetry and gospel influences, the duo pays respect to rap roots while sharing messages of change. Working with a grammy-award winning producer, Hypoetically Speaking released their first EP together this June, entitled “Troup County”.
In addition to his latest album, Dr. Nigel Walker has released two poetry books and a prose book based on education. A member of the Great Black Speakers Bureau, he’s currently working on a motivational book deal.
Co-Founder of ARCG Media, Rob Aurelius is running the show, overseeing operations and marketing for celebrities, brands and sports entertainment. Most notably, Aurelius has propelled the WWE empire forward, becoming one of the only media companies to cover Wrestlemania Week in NYC the past few years, working with WWE superstars such as Ric Flair, and making plans to cover Raw and Smackdown Live.
The road to owning his own successful business wasn’t always extra smooth. Working for a management consulting firm on Wall Street when the 2008 recession hit, Aurelius had to reinvent his career. He went back to finish his degree, hustled to grow his network and became a rising social media guru. ARCG Media is now celebrating its 7th anniversary with big plans ahead.
“We never stop learning and we never stop striving for greatness… To me, nothing great is ever achieved without passion.”
In addition to his company, Aurelius has a passion for philanthropy that keeps him driven, including Stand up for Cancer, Susan G Komen, Connor’s Cure, Fight CRC and Movember.

4 years agoI was a 15 year old child waiting to be picked up from basketball practice by my dad. He was late, daddy was never late! I called my grandma to come get and when I get home, my dad is at the end of our driveway dead. Five bullets had struck him for an uninformed police officer. From that night going forward I was thrown int ok the world with no guidance, on my own, and not even the sheriff, his department, or officers even knew or tried to gather information about my daddy and if he left behind any children to see if they could help at least give the child any necessary services, not even to make sure I had somewhere to go. Novemeber 7th will make 19 years that my dad was murdered for defending himself after being attack.by two other individuals at his home. All because he was able to fight them off and get his own gun, he gets told drop the gun by a cop that pulls in our driveway as daddy runs his attackers outside by a means of self defense. This is what's even more evil than that, not three months later, my mom overhears the deputy bragging to his coworkers about the entire things.

4 years agoJust an old retired guy doing the best I can. Helping out when I can. Being there if someone needs a hand. Just doing what needs to be done. Simple , but effective in it's own way.
